Kim Delaney, an American actor best known for her role as the character Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series for which she won an Emmy Award. She has also starred in dramas such as All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives and CSI: Miami. Delaney was the sole child of the United Auto Workers senior executive and a domestic worker, was raised by her four siblings. In childhood, Delaney dreamed about becoming an official reporter for the court. She began modelling at the age of 14 and later landed commercial opportunities when she relocated to New York. Her first job as an actor came as an innocent teenager in the 1981 soap opera All My Children. Delaney was a talented young actress from the 1980s has appeared in numerous TV shows as well as dramas. Her professional career has been much more lucrative than her personal life. She is gifted and beautiful, has battled drinking prior to that. She has also had marriages that failed two times. The year 2005 was the time she lost custody of the only child that she had.
